After doing some searching on airfare, I found that, while getting to Guadeloupe (PTP) is a little difficult, the fares are lower than other islands I checked, and lower at Xmas than it is now— $692 RT from Orlando!  Air France is the only carrier with direct service from the U.S. (Guadeloupe is still part of France)-- one flight a day from Miami.  Their flight leaves early in the morning and returns late, which means overnighting in Miami each way.  There is an advantage to this, however, in that you get extra time in Guadeloupe (getting to most islands usually means losing the whole first day to travel).  I have reserved a group rate for airfare with Air France-- $659 RT from MIA, including all taxes and fees.  The dates on hold for the group rate are Dec 26 returning Jan. 3 (Fri. to Sat.).  I chose the dates for the cruise to give you a chance to spend an extra day or two before or after on Guadeloupe.  Of course you can fly independently, and you may find a good airfare to SJU, then there are smaller carriers that service PTP.

If the majority of us are flying on the same dates, I'll use the same power of the group to arrange a better hotel rate and transfers in Miami.
